Join HealthHIV on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 3:00 PM Eastern for Rationale, Reasoning, and Readiness for Same-Day PrEP, a 1.0 credit/contact hour certified live webinar focused on advancing timely, equitable access to HIV prevention services through same-day PrEP initiation.

Over the course of this interactive live activity, an interdisciplinary faculty team including an HIV specialist, LGBTQ+ primary care clinician, and prevention services leader will examine the rationale, clinical considerations, and operational readiness required to implement same-day PrEP initiation within real-world practice settings. Faculty will discuss patient-centered approaches to assessing eligibility and readiness, integration of rapid HIV testing technologies, interpretation of baseline laboratory assessments, and practical workflow strategies that support routinized same-day PrEP delivery.

Through case-based discussion, implementation insights, and practical tools, participants will gain actionable strategies to strengthen same-day PrEP capacity and reduce barriers to timely HIV prevention services within their own organizations and communities.

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Evaluate the clinical rationale and public health impact of same-day PrEP initiation models in improving PrEP uptake, reducing delays in HIV prevention access, and supporting equitable delivery of prevention services.
  • Apply evidence-based strategies to assess patient eligibility, readiness, and baseline clinical considerations for same-day PrEP initiation, including integration of rapid HIV testing and laboratory evaluation.
  • Identify operational, workflow, and interdisciplinary practice strategies necessary to support implementation and routinization of same-day PrEP services within diverse healthcare settings.
