Simplifying Prevention: A Deep Dive into Long Acting Injectable PrEP

Simplifying Prevention: A Deep Dive into Long Acting Injectable PrEP

As HIV prevention evolves, long-acting injectable PrEP (LAI-PrEP) offers a promising option for individuals who may benefit from alternatives to a daily oral medication.

Providing a comprehensive overview of LAI-PrEP, this webinar will focus on identifying eligible populations and comparing the benefits and challenges of using any PrEP option. Participants will learn strategies to promote equitable access, outreach, and uptake, particularly among priority populations. Highlighting funding and reimbursement opportunities to support sustainable LAI-PrEP integration into HIV prevention programs will also be discussed.

Learning Objectives
  • Identify populations eligible for LAI-PrEP based on current guidelines.
  • Compare the benefits and implementation challenges of all PrEP options.
  • Identify funding and reimbursement opportunities for integrating LAI-PrEP.
  • Describe strategies to promote equitable access, outreach, and uptake of LAI-PrEP.
