Cocaine and Methamphetamine Use: Strategies for Addressing Acute Intoxication and Withdrawal

This course discusses the addiction hypothesis behind cocaine and methamphetamine use in order to provide strategies for addressing intoxication and withdrawal.

This course is jointly provided by the Postgraduate Institute for Medicine, HealthHIV, and the District of Columbia Department of Behavioral Health.


Learning Objectives
  1. Explain the current state of stimulant use disorder and its public health burden
  2. Recognize the long-term impact, signs and symptoms of stimulant intoxication, withdrawal, and overdose
  3. Identify evidence-based treatment options for stimulant use disorder
