The Heart of the Matter: Cardiovascular Health in People Living with HIV

This webinar will provide a comprehensive overview of cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk among people living with HIV and the underlying factors contributing to this risk. Participants will learn about current risk prediction tools available for assessing CVD risk in people living with HIV, as well as the findings and implications of the REPRIEVE trial.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for physicians, pharmacists, registered nurses, PAs, psychologists, social workers and other healthcare providers engaged in the care of patients with HIV.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be better able to:

  • Describe the risk of cardiovascular disease in people living with HIV
  • Describe the risk factors associated with increased cardiovascular disease risk in HIV
  • To understand how current risk prediction tools may be used to discuss cardiovascular disease risk with people living with HIV
  • Describe the results of the REPRIEVE trial and its influence in current clinical care guidelines for people with HIV
