HealthHIV Executive Director Brian Hujdich Honored with “William E. Arnold” ADAP Champion Award
Washington, DC, March 24, 2026 – The ADAP* Advocacy Association presented HealthHIV Executive Director Brian Hujdich with the William E. Arnold ADAP Champion Award at the Eleventh National SYNChronicity Conference for HIV, HCV, STIs, Drug User Health, and LGBTQ Health, held last week in Arlington, Virginia.
The ADAP Leadership Awards recognize individuals who demonstrate outstanding commitment to improving access to care and treatment for people living with HIV/AIDS. Hujdich, the longest-serving executive at a national HIV organization, was recognized for his sustained leadership and impact in the field.
“Before his passing in 2021, Bill Arnold had noted that Brian Hujdich was a leading voice in the fight against HIV, and recognizing his measured leadership was overdue,” said ADAP Advocacy CEO Brandon M. Macsata. “Five years later, Bill’s wish has finally come true, with Brian being presented with our Champion Award. Brian’s dedication to excellence is unmatched, and he has grown HealthHIV into one of the most well-respected certified medical education providers in the country, as well as a strong advocacy voice.”
*ADAP Advocacy has used the federal program’s name, the “AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP)” but has no connection to the federal program other than the use of its name, and the purpose to educate individuals about the availability of the federally funded program.
