Regardless of relationship style, open communication, informed decision-making, and sexual health remain essential components of healthy partnerships.
This webinar explores the realities of navigating polyamorous and non-monogamous relationships while prioritizing HIV prevention, sexual health, trust, and personal boundaries. Participants will gain practical insights into communication strategies, risk reduction, relationship agreements, and self-advocacy while examining common myths and misconceptions surrounding poly relationships. Through a culturally responsive lens, this session aims to empower Black women to make informed decisions that support their health, wellness, and relationship goals.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Define polyamory and other forms of consensual non-monogamy and distinguish them from unhealthy relationship dynamics
- Discuss the role of communication, trust, and boundary-setting in maintaining healthy relationships
- Describe HIV prevention and sexual health strategies that support informed decision-making across relationship structures
- Identify approaches for advocating for personal needs, safety, and wellness within intimate relationships
