The “The Prevention Generation: Evolving Strategies to Engage Youth” webinar is designed to empower professionals to take an active role in engaging youth in HIV prevention. “The Prevention Generation” will discuss innovative and effective engagement strategies, share real-world experiences from youth-focused professionals, and promote actionable steps to help keep the next generation engaged in reducing the spread of HIV.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be better able to:
- Identify gaps in the engagement of youth in HIV prevention.
- Describe three strategies for effectively engaging youth populations in HIV prevention.
- Explain two strategies to reengage youth populations in HIV prevention and sustain long-term engagement.
Target Audience:
This activity is designed for an interprofessional audience of healthcare and public health professionals involved in HIV prevention, care, education, and policy. The intended participants include: Community Health Workers (CHWs), Case Managers, Public Health Nurses, Health Educators, HIV Prevention Specialists, Infectious Disease Clinicians, Primary Care Providers, Social Workers, Program Coordinators and Managers, Patient Navigators, Outreach Workers, Peer Educators, Cultural Liaisons, Epidemiologists, Faith-Based Health Ministry Leaders, Behavioral Health Providers, Medical Interpreters, Sexual Health Counselors, Policy Analysts, and Academic Faculty or Researchers.
