Beyond the Basics: Introducing the Eight Ps Framework for Inclusive and Effective Sexual History Taking
January 13, 2026 @ 12:00 pm–1:00 pm EST

January 13, 2026, 12:00–1:00pm Eastern
Traditional sexual history models don’t fully capture today’s realities of mobility, digital connection, and borderless sexual networks. The new Eight Ps Framework builds on prior models by integrating these modern patterns alongside a more person-centered, equity-focused approach to sexual wellbeing.
This webinar will introduce the framework, explore how it enhances communication, and demonstrate how clinician and public health professionals can apply it to improve care outcomes and trust with diverse populations.
Learning Objectives
- Identify the components of the Eight Ps Framework and describe how each contributes to a comprehensive sexual history.
- Explore the Eight Ps Framework in real-world scenarios to promote open, non-judgmental and affirming conversations about sexual health.
- Recognize how the Eight Ps can help address stigma, improve patient trust, and support equitable, trauma-informed care across diverse populations.
- Understand how to efficiently integrate the framework into clinical or community-based settings to enhance prevention, diagnosis, and linkage to care for sexually transmitted infections and HIV.
