SUMMARY:A Switch in Time: State-of-the-Art Strategies for ART Modification in People with Virologically Suppressed HIV
DESCRIPTION:Most people living with HIV in your practice are virologically suppressed and doing well\, which raises the questions of when to change an antiretroviral regimen that is working\, and why. The case for switching rests on subtle differences in tolerability\, metabolic effects\, drug–drug interactions\, resistance barrier\, and mode of administration that can be decisive for a given individual. In this interactive\, case-based symposium\, an expert faculty panel will work through commonly encountered clinical scenarios to reveal how and why they choose among an expanded array of switch options. \nNot an official event of IDWeek. Not sponsored\, endorsed\, or accredited by IDWeek. This simulcast is free to attend and open to anyone. \nPhysicians: maximum of 1.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™\nPharmacists: 1.50 contact hours (0.15 CEUs)\nNurse Practitioners/Nurses: 1.50 Nursing contact hours \nThis activity is intended for physicians\, pharmacists\, registered nurses\, and other healthcare professionals who provide care for people living with HIV.
