Title: Education & Training Intern
Reports to: Intern Coordinator and Director of Education


HealthHIV provides education and training to consumers, healthcare providers, professionals and organizations providing services to people living with or at risk for HIV/AIDS. Each year, HealthHIV conducts training programs online and in-person, and individual and group level, to organizations across the US. Programs include HealthHIV’s Fiscal Health program, Remaining Relevant in the New RealityTM training, PrEP medical education forums, and multiple online programs via HealthHIV’s learning platform. The responsibilities of the Education and Training Intern may include:

  • Provide key logistical support to HealthHIV staff related to education and training initiatives with community-based organizations, AIDS service organizations, healthcare organizations, and healthcare providers
  • Identify areas of need and recruit providers for education and training efforts through HealthHIV’s workforce development initiative
  • Research and analysis, and writing and reporting related to the broad spectrum of HealthHIV’s programmatic efforts
  • Collect and manage training registrations and send training information and other pertinent information to training participants
  • Managing database of event contacts
  • Contribute to the development of publications & other HealthHIV products
  • Assisting with post-event follow up
  • Providing overall administrative support to the Education and Training Team

Desired Qualifications

  • A strong interest in health care, health policy, or public health
  • Excellent writing skills and research capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to think creatively and work well in groups
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness and ability to work autonomously, with direction and support
