Title: Capacity Building Intern
Reports to: Intern Coordinator and Capacity Building Manager
HealthHIV’s Capacity Building Team works to enhance the ability of both clinical (primary care clinics, STD clinics, community health centers, hospitals) and non-clinical (AIDS service organizations, health departments, other nonprofits) organizations to improve patient outcomes. HealthHIV organizes regional trainings and provides individualized, on-site technical assistance and collects, analyzes, and distributes research on a variety of topics, including barriers to care, best practices for medical providers, and partnerships for non-clinical and clinical organizations. Since the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, the need for comprehensive training and assistance is greater than ever for health departments, clinics, and patients.
